In this role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining and evolving a robust corporate web presence. You'll develop original creative concepts in line with the corporate visual brand guidelines and the web design systems for every domain maintained by the Web Marketing Team. You'll collaborate with peers from Marketing and various other teams in the company, communicating directly with stakeholders and vendors. Your work will establish and reinforce consistent design patterns and support people in the company in following them correctly.
In this role, you will:
- Create intelligent, original, cutting-edge web design concepts that are both uniquely creative and communicate the brand and business message effectively
- To be able to effectively present and explain your designs and the design decisions you made in front of business stakeholders
- Support and maintain our existing Design Systems
- Follow best UX practices and communicate with the UX Team when complex solutions are needed. This collaborative approach ensures that our designs are not only visually appealing but also user-friendly, enhancing the overall user experience.
- Work closely with the UX team to implement upfront research, user testing, and analytics feedback into design concepts.
Your background:
- Aesthetic sensibility and strong knowledge of web design fundamentals (layout, typography, microcopy, information hierarchy, and web specifications)
- Expertise in modern web design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or similar
- Experience with design hand-off tools such as Figma, Sympli, or similar
- Expertise in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
- Strong understanding of the psychology of visual perception and visual hierarchy
- Ability to explain the thought process behind visual design solutions and rally people around stated design goals
- A meticulous, pixel-perfect eye for detail
- Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and an inspiring work ethic
- Demonstrated understanding of information flow, readability, and interface usability principles
- Good understanding of the technical foundations upon which websites are built
- Good illustration and data visualization skills following Progress Illustration and Icon style
- Basic animation skills and/or interaction design in the context of web design would be an advantage
- Experience leveraging user research, key performance indicators, and site analytics to help make informed design decisions
